Oh Boy! What’s to Happen to the World now!

Qamar says, “World market kutte ki tarah gira hua hai” (meaning the financial situation of the world markets is real bad!)
He laughs heartily, even though he can’t get his eyes off the computer screen, keeping in touch with the rise and fall in his investments. He forgets to turn on the light in the part of the cyber café where I sit.
Mom is so busy with her TV. In that way, I feel my youngest niece and she are totally TV addicts, yet what else can they do at this age? City life won’t let them go out to the meadows or the farm.
My ex-friends continue in their daily life chores. Two of my friends are busy with their work – one (Naresh) an investment banker, and another a social worker (Suresh D).
Each is worried about the world in their own way. One believes that the world depends on investments and rising markets, the other believes if people don’t help the downtrodden or anyone who he can help, the world would collapse.
What is my world view? Magick had been on my mind till yesterday, before that it was trying to get off drugs. Today it is finding a job again. As for the world, I think it won’t change a wee bit whether I live another day or not.
Everything is fine with the world. What may not be fine is perhaps within me myself.
